New Scores and Performances
I’ve been working on a new performance series in collaboration with animator Em Cooper. The series kicks off with a performance at The Turner Contemporary, with other dates TBC. I’ve also been working on a follow up to Grains, featuring some new works for digitally manipulated, guitar, strings, piano and voice. The Ep will be released with the performance scores and a series of limited edition graphic scores.

‘ Been a while since I posted on here
I’ve been quite occupied recently with promoting releases on B&T and Mubique which has meant my own music has taken a bit of a backseat, However I have been writing, sketching and experimenting with a few things including some graphic scores in preparation for a new release. You can hear some of the sketches here:
All the styles and fonts on this blog have gone a bit haywire, but I’ll be sorting all that out in time for the new release. Enjoy listening to the clips
Girls who like Girls
Last week, after a chance email, I composed the music and sound design for a short animated film ‘ Zlatka’ about two women who find love (possibly, well for the evening at least) against the backdrop of a rather grimy, prospect free and depressing highrise estate in Zagreb.
The Story was written by Maja Hrgovic and filmed, directed and animated by Em Cooper. It was shown on Friday at the Foundling Museum as part of Granta’s ‘The F Word’. You can watch the other animations and read more here…

The most interesting remix(s) will be released on my next ep and promoted for sync opportunities via bigo & twigetti.
Drop me a message if you have any questions jim at bigoandtwigetti.co.uk
I’m looking forward to hearing them.
Chopin Prelude on Radio 3 & New (and old) Music
My re-working of Chopin’s Prelude in Eb minor was played last night by Nick Luscombe (DJ not pianist) on Radio 3s Late Junction. Nick’s been doing a series of shows on Late Junction for the past couple of weeks and has put together some really eclectic selections of music. The shows are worth checking out for a laid-back, mix of music, ranging from the ancient to the contemporary, you’re bound to find more than a few things you haven’t heard before. The show’s are available for a week after they are broadcast and you can stream them online here.
